Whichever way you look at it, sooner or later you will administer VoIP (if you're not already). Either your client or your boss will come asking, or you'll be the proactive type and sell your client or boss on all the amazing benefits of VoIP.
Fear not. Since Kerio Operator runs on your existing data network using the industry standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and since you know IP like the back of your hand, your learning curve is next to nothing. Just a couple hours to understand how SIP works and adapt the terminology from phone to network – and you're ready to rock.
Once you get SIP under your belt, the rest is easy. Kerio Operator lets you choose the deployment that works best for you. With the convenience of either software or hardware, you can install the bootable ISO image or the VMware virtual appliance on your choice of hardware, or choose one of the performance optimised, ready to run, Kerio Operator Box hardware appliances. Then connect Kerio Operator to the outside world over existing E1/T1/EuroISDN/analog lines or via a SIP service provider, configure your preferred SIP phones, and your set.

Kerio Operator's state-of-the-art security features protect the system from being misused, thus saving costs. Password guessing protection and anomalous behavior detection give the administrator effective tools to keep unwanted "visitors" outside. Additionally, Kerio Operator comes with support for call encryption to protect the privacy of the calling parties.
Kerio Operator can take advantage of interoperability with other Kerio products. With Kerio Connect, it integrates voicemail and email to give users more flexibility and control over their voice messages. Just click a box in the web-based administration interface to hook them up. Thanks to SIP protocol prioritisation in Kerio Control, they can enjoy the highest call quality and reliability even in heavily utilised networks. Make them even happier by configuring the auto-attendant to easily route calls to the appropriate extension or a custom-designed call queue.
