Santa Clara, CA - Kerio Technologies Inc., a leading provider of Internet security software, today announced that its Kerio MailServer 5 corporate messaging solution has been certified ca smart with eTrust Antivirus from Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA). Working together, the products provide small-to-mid sized organizations with a cost effective and powerful mail server solution with enterprise-strength antivirus capabilities.

Kerio MailServer 5 represents a secure solution for corporate Internet and intranet mail servers. In addition to encrypted access to the mailbox using IMAP, POP, WAP or WebMail, Kerio MailServer ensures all inbound and outbound email is scanned for viruses and other harmful code prior to being delivered. It also features an extensive list of anti-spam settings.
Kerio MailServer, using a special plug-in with eTrust Antivirus, incorporates antivirus protection into the kernel of the mail server. This enables the scanning of all email traffic, not just the SMTP protocol, providing the highest levels of defense against virus activity.
CA's eTrust Antivirus protects businesses by reducing virus infections through dual scanning engines, simplified and automated updating, and easy to use administration. eTrust Antivirus is certified by ICSA Labs and recognized by Virus Bulletin for detecting 100% of "in the wild" viruses. eTrust Antivirus is also available through authorized CA resellers under the product name eTrust InoculateIT.
